could be a fuse or it could be that your brake sensor is stuck on.

slave? are you sure you are filling the right reservoir? you sure you're filling the master cylinder and not the reservoir for the slave cylinder? the reservoir for the master cylinder is connected to that round black thing (brake booster) attached to the fire wall.
