Default just ran my 93 prelude vtec (6.12.04) REDDING,CA

ran it this weekend at the Redding Drag Strip...
ALL stock but did a little here and there and hit an amazing time..

0.747- reaction
2.348- 60ft
76.14- mid mph
9.557- 660
95.64- mph
14.67- ET

i dont think anyones ever hit that w/ a stock lude. i think i could have done better too, because i never really got a good run. couldn't grip too well..

Hell yea is amazing....stock prelude?
Dude that is a damn amazing time, what are the things you did here and there?
What did you take out? or was it completely stripped?

Also what were you launching at? And were you using Slicks?

well, i dont know what you really consider going all stock, but i took out everything from inside, except for the driver seat and dash.. no ps, no hood, no rear bumper, ran on 91 and some octane booster, valve adjustment, took axle back exhaust off..

funny thing bout my timeslip was.. after drags, i raced this eg hatch w/ gsr, and smoked him up.. my slips were flying everywhere and some flew out the window.. and the fastest slip i have right now is just the 14.70 one.. HERE'S A QUESTION FOR YOU ALL.. do the dragstrip people have records on hold? cause i'm trying to contact them to see if i can get a reprint of that slip..

removing the rear bumper has been shown to improve times. Mistabone proved that on his eg hatch, look it up, it's in the archives.

not bad times what were your 60 foots like?

Plus no "axle back exhaust", is that to say you removed the muffler? That would be a modification too. Good time regarless.

removing the bumper would actually help alot... not only does it get rid of some weight, but it also get rid of that parachute effect at highspeed.

Is that an H23 vtec engine that is in your classified or just an H22. If not, curious to why you have built motor and never use it?

yea removed the rear bumper so it doesn't have a parachute effect at highspeed. is why sometimes some drag cars just drill big holes. my 60ft times were 2.4s, but best was 2.37 and that was actually because i put the hood back on, and it put more weight for the front... I was actually interview for the news too ...

motor was just a stock plain ol' h22.. h23vtec was going to go in a dc2, but i just want to sell it and get me a newer h22 motor..

that may be a good time for a stock lude... now this is just my opionion but, i think gutting a car is dumb unless its going to be nothing but a track car (which yours my well be)... but removing the hood too ??? dood why not just get a go-kart and race it
