Default Rs*R or Hyper medalion??

hey guys, i just got my first teg a couple days ago, its a 96 ls. Ive figured out what im gona run for a suspension setup but i want to keep it looking real clean so im debating on either getting the RS*R ExMag or the hyper medalion. Does anybody know where i can see some acctual HP and Tq results on these two setups? and what do you guys think is the better setup?

thanks
Andy

if your a newbie at modifying like you say you are, id suggest the hyper. but if your a verteran, everyone would agree with the rsr. goodluck on whatever your decision may be.

could you please explain the difference between being a newbie at modding has to do with him picking an exhaust?

the hyper is gonna be loud, and generally speaking, n00b tuners are looking for that when they pick an exhaust. the ex mag looks stock and practically sounds stock. but provides the hp #'s veteran tuners are after will out all the noise. he wasnt claiming that he had to get one or another, just a general suggestion for some one thats new to all of this.

let your stock exhaust get some rust holes. it improves flow and makes hella jdm turbo loud nos noises.

my muffler is rusted. but get the quiet one. louder is cooler for about 10 mins. then its real annoying/raspy. it almost gives me headaches

Wha....RS*R does NOT look stock. It's got a 4" rolled tip...how does that not yell modified?

It was so big and ugly that I cut the tip off of it and replaced it with an angled tip off of a Cobra. Now THAT looks stock.

alright. your wish is my command master.

well, if your a newbie... we tend to go for what sounds loud or good. facts are most newbies don't research and just by parts because of their names, what they've heard from their friends, or what they saw in the magazine. the hyper medallion will attract many newbies because of its amazing tone, although i believe it is a race only exhaust. tanabe right?

modifying veterans will soon get tired of the exhaust tone cancelling out their music and will soon go for the quieter tone. ie: RS*R. im not saying this is 100% all the time, but most. i have a tanabe racing super medallion and i would sure as hell like to trade that thing in for an RS*R. but until then, my silencer always stays on.

there you go bro...

ok, thanks for the info, but does the Rsr make the exhaust tone any louder? I dont want a screaming loud exhaust but i still want to tone to be a little bit louder then stock. Also what do you guys think about eh greedy sport?

Since it is highly unlikely that your current exhaust is rusted to the point of needing replacement, the question's gotta be asked: why are you changing your exhaust? want to create more noise? or have a feeling of going faster than you really are?

if you can answer these questions, then we can recommend an exhaust?
