soo much black smoke

Default soo much black smoke

when i am driving my car and reving the rpm around 4000 there is no smoke but when i am ripping it into v-tech there is so much black smoke coming out of my car does anyone know what the problem could be???

could be a few things. Catalytic converter, 02 sensors, computer, distributer, spark wires, spark plugs. check all of them and let us know.

mine smokes(black) above 6k rpm or so, but I think it's due to the mugen ecu...

mine does that a lot too.
i know it's running super rich.

Giving us more specifics like what modifications you have can help greatly. If you run an aftermarket ECU, odds are you are just running pig rich after VTEC. Worst case scenario is that your rings are shot and you're getting a buttload of blowby.
