i put a b16a2 head on a ls motor with 40000 miles, typhoon intake manifold and dc header p28 chipped port and polish on head typr r cams,aem cam gears how long will it last if taken care of properly and not beat on???? thanks guys

 

it could last as long as the car if you take care of it right

 

It could last an hour or last forever. There is way way to many circumstances to determine how long. I doubt you will have any problems though. Just make sure its tuned.

 

Should last as long as any other engine. Just take care of it. If it is mechanically sound then it's mechanically sound. A question like that is like asking how long a gs-r engine will last or an ls will last. It will last as long as it does.

 

i have an LS, 2nd owner, did most work myself, tons of bolt ons...beat the **** out of it every day 180k miles on it, burn about 2-3quarts of oil every 450miles and still beat GSRs and SIs....hondas last a long time

ls/vtec can be just as reliable as any factory honda engine...if it's done correctly the first time.

 

Way too many variables. It can be just as reliable as a stock motor if you take care of it.
