Body Kit
This week, I'm probably going to be buying an Extreme Dimensions R33 body kit for my '92 Prelude Si 4ws. I know body kits are ricey, and not many people on this site are into them, but I'm hoping that those of us who are into them can help me. I'm probably going to install it myself to save money, and I'm wondering if anyone else has done the same thing and if anyone has any tips or pointers? Are there any special tools you need to install one on a prelude other than a drill and screw drivers? If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it.
if you're getting front and rear bumpers... it'll take you a little while, side skirts aren't too difficult but that front bumper is a pain and you'll probably run into fitment issues as well, but you won't need anything more than a socket set, an extension and a rachet, i'm pretty sure you need a phillips head for parts on the front bumper
my kit wouldnt fit no matter what i did to it... not with my experiance anyway. i do structural maintainence on aircraft so thought the fiberglass work i do would be enough but i couldnt make that damn kit for the life of me they reall do make them poorly.take your time but i would try to find someone with alot of experiance to give you a hand

Hope you know most body kits require the removal or modification of the metal bumper front and rear. The kit I bought was a POS and cost about 1200 for a shop to paint and install. It had many fitment issues and still does in some places. One more thing, now my front bumper scrapes my driveway all the time and the car isn't even lowered, so keep that in mind. Good luck with yours...

I'm not into bodykits but you will need a socket set for sure to get that front bumper on. You'll have to take out the headlights on the prelude to take off the front bumper. Man its a pain in the *** to off all of the mud gaurds on the bottom of the car in the front too. Wide body R 33 will look decent if you do it right. Hopefully you get a kit that fits pretty nicely. Good Luck
Just curious have you ever had a bodykit before??
I went that route a while back (3 cars ago) and its a bitch to drive if you lower it and its a daily driver. You have to watch out for everything. Potholes, roadkill, rodents, rocks, garbage, curbs, speed bumps, driveways. My advice is to spend it on either ABS plastic or Urethan...not fiberglass.
