A6 block w/ Y8 head...what timing belt?????
hey guys
i might be doing a mini-me using a D16A6 block and a D16Y8 head. if anyone has done this can you let me know what timing belt you are running with this combo. i have read that sometimes when using a D15b7 and a Z6 or Y8 head you need to use a different belt. any help would be appreciated. thanks

yep
2x

go with the Honda Y8 belt on this one, I used some no name crap from Pep Boys & spent 13hrs tryin to get it in place NO DICE, finally I went to the dealer the next day, bought an OE belt & in like 10 minutes AOK.
Some aftermarket belts suck, they had the same tooth count & everything, but it was like 3/8" to 1/2" too short
