when doing the swap im gonna do full tune up

waterpump/timingbelt/headgasket/spark plugs/pcv/etc


could i just use d16z6 parts for everything?

nunanunano. get parts for a civic vx. the z6 is 1.6 and the d15b is 1.5.

 

ah i c, ive read that u needed to use z6 stuff for the head but ur sure just get parts for 1.5?

 

yes 1.6 and 1.5 arent the same.

 

yes. unless you are running a z6 head the you'd want the z6 timing belt. the water pumps may be the same? the d15b is the jdm 1.5 vtec motor and the cx motor, d15z1, is the usdm 1.5 vtec motor. i've actually done a d15b swap and we used parts for the cx.
