just get a hacksaw and start cutting. once you start you'll figure out where to go from there

"IF" I were going to do it I would say air saw. its got a small very accurate blade and it'll cut through that thin metal like butter.

Just get yourself a DREMEL and a whole lot of blades ....will make a nice clean cut

i dont think it would look bad if you do it right.......I seen an old school 350z scoop mounted Above the air filter on a slight angle.......looked pretty damn mean yet clean

Maybe a dril with bit that can cut through metal. then a jigsaw with a blade that can cut metal too.

haha thanks for the sarcasm haha

I was thinking of putting a negative scoop (kinda like the Evo 7) if I got a short ram so it dumps iar right ontop of the filter but I got the V2 CAI instead

make all the difference with a ram air intake, which i got...... it would be slamming the cold air against it, as opposed to sucking in the warm engine air......
and yes im gonna make everything clean with fiberglass so theirs no bumps..... but i mean, you can buy a nice functional scoop for 40 bucks as opposed to a whole hood for 400 which will be even more paint

i think im gonna try the drill then jigsaw, if i got a jigsaw bit that does sheet metal

I dunno. Sounded like a good idea at the time. But I lucked out on my brand new V2 AEM CAI for only $100.

Why are you going hood scoop? Wouldnt a CAI be cleaner and cheaper? and less headache?

use some air sheers to cut through the thin parts then a die/angle grinder or sawzall to cut through the braces

be very careful...i would say score it or do somthing to prevent it from chipping your paint...you get in there with a jigsaw and your bound to do some chipping...be careful

make sure that when it rains, all the water goes into your engine and rusts your manifold...I don't think functional hood scoop and civic should be in the same sentence
