Does anyone make aluminum axles for FWD cars? what `bout OUR FWD car?
anyone make aluminum axles for a 4th gen lude? I was walking around today with the stock ones and noticed how heavy they are....
Yes, they are heavy, but the weight has little centrifical force behind it, unlike wheels.. So swapping to expensive, and much weaker aluminum axles really won't help much... and as far as I know, knowone makes them
exactly
all the weight in the axles are within it's center, the bars.. so there is not a big torque effect like with wheels and tires..so you would have gains that's for sure..
but they wouln't be enough to give really something ...
and unlike a rear solid axle on some FR car..the axles are partially sprung weight ..
