ANYONE WITH KONIG HELIUM'S LOOK HERE!!
Keep a close eye on them.......

Not a mark on them, not even a scratch. Rim lip is perfect.
I emailed Konig directly, awaiting their reply:

The wheels are less than 1 year old with about 2500 miles on them. 1 of the spokes has a crack all the way around the spoke halfway between the hub and the outer edge of the rim. I am not sure if the crack has gone right through the spoke, or not. There was no contact with a curb, and not a scratch anywhere on the rim. I recently moved and lost my receipt. I paid $475 US for the rims. The shop I ordered them through says there is nothing they can do without a receipt, and they are in another City all-together.
What (if anything) can you do for me? I can provide pics if you like. I would hate to have an accident due to what appears to be a faulty rim.
Thank you,
A Very Satisfied and likely repeat customer.

Well wherever you bought the rims from should be able to provide you with a copy of the receipt. If you paid with VISA or MasterCard. Thats BS if they can't provide you with a purchase receipt.
Nope. I hardly ever even drive the car. I just pulled it outta storage, and noticed this.
Sitting still for a couple months surely couldn't have caused this.

Well, I did use Paypal over the net. Maybe I can find something on my Paypal account.

From what i remember these wheels are gravity cast. Sometimes an air pocket/bubble will become traped during the casting of the wheels. This seriously weakens the integrity of the wheel. I'm guessing there was a bubble where the wheel cracked. That being said this isn't something that only happens the the heliums, it happens with all wheels cast in this manner.
I have them on my hatch and they all seem fine. You may have just gotten a bad wheel (lets hope so anyway). Good luck and let us know when/if they respond

I used to own a set and never had a problem, but I have seen that happen to quite a few sets of heliums on tracked cars.
Hope Konig helps you out.

damn, guess i'd better check them out on the wife's car... she's not too carefull of a driver, doesn't swerve to miss potholes or anything.. hope they are alright.
i sell these wheels, and am on my third set( I keep getting offers that I can't refuse). The second set i had for quite sometime and hit quite a few large potholes with no problems. I agree that it sounds like a isolated incident. I am sorry that there was a problem, I am sure that konig will help. If not contact me via pm and I will call them on your behalf.
kineticgsr - Thanks, depending on their answer, I just may do that.
9!.t3g - Nope. Prolly the worst bump I ever hit was a slightly sunk sewer cover. (1/2-3/4 inch deep) If these rims can't handle that, then when I get the replacement, they are gone.
Still awaiting Konig's reply. (3 days now....)
