my a/c isnt very cold and i just recharged it!
Well its R134a and its not very cold.... I don't see any bubbles in the sight glass and i just put on a new compressor.= and a fresh rehcarge it showed 25lbs on the gauge. Its kinda cold but not freezing like I hoped. Any ideas/ suggestions?
freon ownz joo........ remember Freon was still being used for our cars when they were made right? .... so possibly since ac wasn't created to be used with R134a, it didn't need a larg amount of effort to stay cold. Newer cars dont use Freon, so the compressors and piping was created to maximize the cooling power with a diferent mix ?
just a guess. My old EF was refilled before i picked it up, and it was never really that cold.

Did you completely remove the R12 out?
You have to get all that old stuff out - especially the oil!
Get a new filter/dryer canister too since it traps a lot of oil in it.
