Question About Swap and Gauge Clutster
I am looking into a LS swap for my 89 hatch si and am wondering if there is a way to convert the cluster I have now into one that'll fit the LS's needs. If not I'll just have to buy a tach.
Thanks,
Tyler

If you have an Si now, you have a tach that goes to 8K. The LS engine redlines at what 7200? That tach will be just fine. If however, you don't like how the redline starts at 6500, your best looking and easiest swap would be for the EDM 91 Vt-i cluster. It screws directly in, hooks up the same (It has a mechanical speedometer and not one that requires an electronic speed sensor like the JDM clusters) and has more character than the bland JDM cluster. Not to mention the speedo is in MPH not Km/h. Metric system sucks. And the MPH goes to 150 instead of 120 or 200km (the same as 120 mph) so there is plenty of room to go fast. Orange needles are cool too. They are a little rare, but you can find them on ebay.
Here is one on ebay now:

This one however is from a European country that uses km/h. There are those floating out there that are in MPH. You get the basic idea, but just imagine the speedo in MPH topping at 150.
