Well, I had the rest of the car painted last year, and I really didnt want to spend 400 dollars to have just the motor bay painted. So, I went out and bought a nice spray gun ($29) and base/clear 2 stage paint ($65) and went at it. It came out really good IMO, the gun worked beautifully. Some spots i missed, but who cares, once the motors in there you arent seeing much. Im picking up my 390 out of a 1970 rebel machine this weekend, so i should be good to go soon. (btw, this is a 68 javelin) Let me know what you think for my first time. Oh yea, I was too cheap to buy a nice respirator so i used dust masks. Bad idea.. i had the WORST stomach ache after.. I did this all in my garage, made a big stink in the house too. Oh well, whats done is done lol. All comments welcome!

well the cars got a 6,000 dollar paint job which i got last year. But I figure money can be better spent building the 390 so its not bad for 100 bucks. Im happy, i think itll look awesome with the motor in there!

Thanks guys, I like all cars, but I know alot of honda owners dont like anything thats 2wd and has a v8. anyways, heres some pics of my javelin and my gsr if anyones interested
