I'm kinda new to the forums and am looking to buy a car that is cheaper and gets better gas milage than my current car. I found a guy selling a 1992 civic dx hatch with about 220,000 miles on the body and only 60k on the gsr motor. has the gsr tranny and ecu. comes with coilovers, hid's, and new axles. The engine was installed by a local shop. it was pulled from a totaled gsr. It has some body damage. it has a dent on the roof, quarter panel, and a little rust on the rear quarter panel. I'm this car just as a fun little daily driver. my car at the moment gives me about 20 mpg highway at the most. I was just wondering what's a good price for this car. what's the most i should pay and how much is a good price. let me know.

got pics of the body? maybe a description might give us an idea (rusts, dents, scratches, etc.).

 

I would say just because the body has 220,000 miles on it doesnt mean its bad.

I wouldnt worry about it unless the frame is crap.

 

$3500 seems about right. 220k is a lot of miles, but then a GSR swap adds about $2000 IMHO to the price of the car. So, figure $1000-$1500 for the car w/o the swap.
