Want to verify my swap wiring b18b into CRX
I searched and didn't find anyone doing exactly what i'm doing. Ok so I have 98 b18b I want to put into my 88 DX crx. I want to convert it to obd1 so I can run hondata in the future.
SO it is my understanding I need to (in this order):
1. Convert to MPFI, I have an 89 Si harness to pilfer plugs from but since I running obd1 I do not need an injector resistor box. How does my wiring change?
2. Get my obd1 LS ecu and a jumper harness and plug it all in following the instructions for converting to obd1.
Now, I have a 91 b18a dizzy that I understand will work and since it is the old plug style will I not have to rewire anything concering the dizzy while converting to obd1?
I think thats it..if I have more question concerning the swap I'll ask em here.

91 distributor wont work with obd1
first of all why do you want to go obd1?
if it were me i would do this, use the 89 harness and wire the motor up for obd0,
THen if you still want to go obd1, use a obd1 distributor , and get a obd 0- obd1 conversion harness.

Internally different.
Use the 92-95 distributor (OBD-I), the 98 injectors (same as OBD-I), and get either a chipped P28 for it or an OBD-I LS ECU (best bet).

no, it wont work
thats why i suggest you stay obd0 unless your going to be running boost right away

I say, if you do the work yourself, and if it's your first time, do it in stages
(or, when you screw up, which is not impossible, you wont know what part of the swap to blame - MPFI or OBD0-1), that ways it's easier to troubleshoot.
So, you outlined it right:
Convert your car to MPFI, and run that engine with 88-91 ECU (LS integra / SI civic, doesnt matter, it will run it), 91 distro and 88-91 injectors (any 88-91 injectors). You'll also have to wire injector box in, which is not a bad thing, since later on, with hondata, you'll be able to run 450cc injectors.
Once you see it's running, install the OBD0-1 adapter, convert some plugs on the harness to OBD1 and finish troubleshooting (with OBD1 injectors and distributor). Your OBD2 injectors will work also, but I'm not sure if they will plug into your harness clips.
