Default JDM DC header question

I will be purchasing the JDM DC SS 4-1 header for my type R. Im just curious why everyone thinks DC is crap? Ive seen this header in person and it looks like good quality.

anybody know what gauge steel it uses, if it's similiar to any of the JDM aftermarket ones that't great, cause i can live with some shitty welds.

I have no problems with mine, the quality is really good. DC has been around for a while I think if they were as bad as everyone says I don't think they would still be in business. I also have a DC header on my Prelude and it has been on there for about 4 years now and I have never had a problem with that one either.

Ive heard that the JDM 4-1 (not the copy) has two tubes inside. The exhaust passes through one and the other tube around it keeps it insulated. I could be way off base here.

I believe DC uses 16g material = .065"

I saw a picture of a JDM DC header next to a JDM type R header and the difference is noticable. The Type R one was larger (inside diameter) and there was a dyno and the Type R header made 2-3 more horse power.

Hey, what a great reason to donate to the header test! Then we'll know for sure. Please refer to my signature.
