Default Replaced starter car still wont start, got fuel/spark.

Ok im so ******* confused why my car isnt starting. All it does is crank but nothing else. Theres a couple times that it would seem like it would start but then it would just pop and continue to crank. I just replaced the starter because that was dead and then this problem happened.

I have spark, fuel, ignition is good, cap on dizzy is good, rotor is good, main relay clicks like i think its suppose to, no CEL, no codes, but the ****** wont start. Help!

I also checked 2 grounds (one on the tranny and the one on the valve cover) and there on there good, i cant remember where the other grounds are.

TIA! (its been 3 weeks that i couldnt drive my car and its driving me crazy)

if you checked for fuel by opening the line and still nothing then check your fuel injectors....

The way i know i have fuel is because when i did a compression test i forgot to disconnect the injectors and they sprayed alot into the combustion camber (had a thread about that and fixed the problem).

But i have been thinking of changing the injectors back to stock and see what happens, but the injectors worked fine for a week, so i dont know.

Also my injectors are DSM 450s with 10watt10ohm resistors.

Checked that, got good numbers to it and i opened the dizzy and nothing was burned, it looked good.

Also i went to try and start it. My Turbo timer reads 12.5v but when i turn the key it looks like the car needs a jump. Even when i jump the car it looks like it needs a jump and sucks power away from the other car as well.

So what im thinking is something is draining the **** out of my car. What could that be though?

Did you check you timing? It could of jumped.

Also no sound stupid or anything but are you sure you got your firing order right, my friend did it once and he kept on thinking his timing was off the whole time. Just an idea.

That's what usually causes the Exhaust to blow up in your header, at least it does when you have timing off or firing order screwed up.

I thought the same thing about the firing order then i came on H-T and looked for the order and i found out i had it all fucked. Fixed it and it cranked alot better but still wouldnt start. Ill check the timing once someone gets home and can crank my car for me.

This is my firing order

4 3 (i think or 3 4)
2 1

4 3 2 1

1-3-4-2

Double check that

Something leads me to believe it's your firing order or timing still.

I just triple checked my firing order (went outside to double check thought it was wrong, came back found out it was right, went back to check again). And its in the right order. And a few mins before i came back to read this thread i tried push starting the car and nothing. So im going to check my timing sometime tomorrow after work.

Also it looks like i need new spark plug wires because when i pulled one off to check where it was going it broke off. If i cant get the piece out of the cap it looks like ill need a new one. Great.

I think 36 hours (all night and all day at work with plugs out) was enough. So theres no fuel in it. Im going to check my timing sometime today, if not then all day tomorrow im going to be working on this bitch.

I thought so too, but i pulled the cap and looked at it and it looked good, tested it with a Multimeter and it was good. So i dont think thats it.

Did you actually test for spark or did you just ohm your ignition parts out?

If you did not visibly see the spark, I would pull the coil OUT and check for burn marks....if so bad coil.

Did you just swap in the motor? If not, did you JUST swap in those injectors?

I would try to put it back to how it was originally.

EDIT- I just reread your original post.....how your starter was dead so you replaced it. Check your battery fuse. should be like a 60amp or 75amp fuse. I had one blow on me in an altima, it would crank and crank and crank but no accessories wouldnt work.

what about the fuel pump. i have the same prob now with my beat *** d15, and my buddy thinks it is b/c of the fuel pump. sounds good to me b/c it only happens right after i turn it off or turn it on again, but it could be like vapor lock too. so i would say try to replace the fuel pump if you haven't already cause it is a good upgrade, and that could help... cancel one thing out at a time

The swap was done a year ago. And we checked spark with a screw driver and got spark, but i changed my wires anyway. I think my timing belt slipped off a little because 5 out of 5 times that i had the car turn to TDC the cam gears were facing down so tomorrow im going to reset the timing (i dont have the patents to do it now)

Also when you start the car your dizzy isnt suppose to move right? I have all 3 bolts on it and the dizzy sways back and forth and im sure thats not suppose to happen right? What could cause that?

Ill check that batt. fuse now.

Edit: fuse is fine

If you have all 3, 12mm bolts in and there tight and your Dizzy moving back and forth i'd say you found your problem.
