Do you mean the crank pulley from an Integra Type R or Civic Type R (forgot which one it belonged to). Supposedly those crank pulleys aren't good to run on the street because it lacks a harmonic balancer. Good for track, not for street. Again, don't quote me on this one. All this is from the top of my head. Search and you should find it.

Edit: Actually it's for a CTR.

Its lighter. Supposedly it gives you better acceleration. Will you feel anything?

Hell no. Waste of $80.

Supposedly a few hp and tq gained, not enough to feel, but then again...some say it isn't good without the balancer.

b series pullies dont have balancers in them. they're just solid metal.

I have one on my b18b, didn't really notice a difference. But then again, I don't have any other mods either, maybe with more mods it would help out more. FYI if you do get one you need a shorter alternator belt.

I've had one on my B16a3 for a few years with no issues. The only real problem I had; is trying to find a proper belt for it. I still can't find one that will fit properly.. . . *shruggs*.
B18( all series), B16, none fit. I have some random belt holding it all together.

P.S. I didn't notice a performance gain. Just a reduction in occupied space in the engine compartment.

You my friend are a ******* moron.

Now to the answer the question. I did not have the CTR N1 crank pulley on my old car. I had the UR Ultra R crank pulley and Ultra A alt. pulley. The factory crank pulley and factory alt. pulley weighed 8lb 6oz. The UR crank and alt pulley weighed a COMBINED 11oz. total. So almost 8lbs of rotational mass shaved off. Not to mention the fact I lost my power steering and a/c. So there's a good 100lbs of dead weight combined with the parasitic lost caused by the power steering. In my opinion it was one of the best mods I did. I also happened to swap to a manual rack, but you can modify and still use your power rack.

I liked the UR pulleys better just because they were lighter as well as under driven slightly. As far as the whole "balancer bullshit" that is just my opinion on it. Bullshit. I will argue that to the death to. I have yet to believe it. I'm sure there are hundreds of people on here that will argue me wrong. That's fine let em.

Next thing you guys are gonna tell him lightweight flywheels are a waste of money as well.

Dude, if you have no information to contribute to the subject, don't make jackass comments please. ******* asshat.

To the post...all B-series pulleys don't have balancers in them? Wow, learn something new everyday. So the only reason to upgrade to a CTR unit is to shave off rotational mass and get rid of P/S and A/C?

I agree with Mr. Milano, I think it's a great mod and you can for sure feel it on the *** dyno.

Intresting, So if im making 400whp and have heavier forged rods I should not worry about the harmonic vibrations that are made and go with this pulley even though it is not balanced???

First of all aftermarket forged rods are NOT HEAVIER then OEM rods. This includes Eagle, both Crower's, Oliver, Cunningham, Pauter etc.... They are lighter period.

Second if I am building a motor with forged internals I would have the entire rotating assembly balenced anyways regardless of what crank pulley was on there.

aight so I'm not too keen on this harmonic balancer discussion, but its made me paranoid from what I know. But I have a balanced bottom end, so is it a mute point for my engine you're saying?

I have the CTR pulley on my b18c, love it. I really did notice more throttle responce, plus it cleaned up the bay real nicely.

i have one. 3,500 miles no problem+ noticed quicker acceleration/throttle response
