I was tighting down my valve cover and the stud broke right at the top threads. I have searched and found that to remove the stud you meed to use and eze out from sears. The post said to go to honda to buy a new stud and my question is what do i tell them the stud is for? 89 integra? Thank you for tyhe help


P.s. The stud that broke is the back left one.

Yeah, I think if you just tell them the GS, they'll know. It's probably the same stud for the GS/LS engines. It's just a valve cover.

 

Stupid studs are about 8$ a piece

90012-PM7-000 Outer Valve Cover Stud $4/per
90213-PH3-000 Nut Cap $3/per

 

I did the same thing and the teg studs were to long. I found some that fit at a local hardware store. If you can not find any let me know and I can go see fi they still stock them.

That's pretty common to break those. STupid things... can't torque them at all especially with those closed nuts that go on them.
