ok so im getting a crx shell for free. its a retired drag car and has a roll cage in it. i was wondering if it would be possible to take the roll cage out of the shell and putting it into my running crx. i believe it is a 8 point roll cage....so yeah any input would be apriciated

Was the car ever rolled or impacted in such a fashion as to stress the roll cage?

If not, then hell yea id reuse it, but if its ever been stressed or some **** like that, id ditch it.

 

I don't see the problem with that, as long as it doesn't have bad rust/cracks in the pipes or welds.

I could be wrong.

 

from what i know it was never damaged in any way (ei crashed)

 

if there's no problems then use it...

 

or just use the car that it is in, sounds easier to me.

yeah like all others said as long as the car was not in a serious accident or rolled re-use it or leave it in the car?. The cage is a bolt in I assume?
