Default 89 civic Std cat

Would replacing my standard off the manifold cat with a test pipe result in more hp? Would this gain be worth it or should i replace it with a high flow further down the exhaust? Thanks

Do you have an mpfi conversion yet? If not that should be one of your first steps in trying to squeeze some power out of your std.
