Hey, i was wondering if anyone was running a vtec controller? I've debating whether to get one or not. Any if so, anyone recommend a mounting spot.

 

Hey man, im new on here, but ive heard that the vtec controller for our s2000 isnt that great of an idea. If im wrong someone please tell me. If it is a good idea please leave some numbers of your controler where you are tunned at. thanks

 

its not a bad idea...its just that its not the best way to tune, for any honda rearlly....its more or less a "band aid" tuner...gets the job done, but isn't great. fully standalone units are really the best way to go. motec/ems or hondata w/ other honda models

 

bang for the buck, IF and only IF properly tuned on a dyno, you can have good results which can yield 9-15 horses. and at the wheels, coming from a 200hp base, that's not a bad % increase compared to other mods which can lose power.

 

and these gains are reflected on WOT operation in closed loop. It's a different story under partial throttle.

 

umm...correct me if i'm wrong...but i think the super hyped allows you do change fuel and vtec engagement in partial and full throttle...and in smaller increments as well.
