Default how can i tell if this is a tranny from a d16a6?

well heres what happened a friend of mine owed me money and said he would give me an a6 tranny if i cut the loss and i said deal. But i need to make sure its an a6 tranny. If someone could tell me where to find a code on it, or another way to identify it that would be great. Anyway thanks alot.
