Default wheel stud.

I tried to take my lugs off today and one of the wheel studs had tough resistance while the other 3 came out easily. Is it crossthreaded? Is it easy to replace the stud?

It could just be stripped or crossthreaded...you can either replace the wheel stud or get it rethreaded.

Try putting it back on without a wheel on there. Use lots of WD-40 and don't force it if it starts getting tough. If you see metal shavings on the stud or ground, chances are its crossthreading. I had a similar problem but it turned out it was a bad lug nut from a new set I had just purchased.

chances are it is probaly just well rusted on there. To take it off just use PB blaster. that stuff works great. Just spray it on and let it penetrate then the lug nut should come right off.

I read that you could grind off some of the stud's head and it could be inserted into the hub without removing the bearing, anyone did it before?
