Default WEIRD *** ****! CAR DONT START!

my car hella rattles and **** i dunno why

91 accord lx 4dr automatic

i wanna take off the dist cap

the rotor wouldent come off, i pull and pull, get a screwdriver

BREAK THE ROTOR! ****!!

buy a enw rotor, put it back together, CAR WONT START, has everything, but dosrnt have SPARK, no JUICE
!!!

i have directions on with a volt meter, how to check if ur ignitor and coil are stillworking and they BOTH ARE!

im thinking some kinna fuse? BUT I CHECKED ALL KNOWN FUSES, are there any fuses on the ECU? WHAT could possibly be the problem??!!!!!!

thanks in advance!

The shaking is most likely a bad rear motor mount.

As for not starting, did you get the correct dist cap (if you got a new one)? Check your fuses too.

umm, you took off the distributor cap? and broke the rotor?

when you replaced it, was it at the proper firing order?? i dont know about a 91, but i think a 5th gen is 1342 firing order if you dont know how to turn the rotor, easy way is to have 1 friend watch the rotor, while someone inside turns the ignition and crank once and stop until it reaches the 1... make sure wires & cap is properly placed back at its original place. and fire it up..

Check your timing and the distrubutor. If the distrubutor is the only you've touched, then the problem is your distrubutor.

Had the same basic problem except I was driving down the road and it just cut off. No fire at all. Ended up having to replace the entire distributor.

it doesnt need to be touched... when you broke the rotor off, it might of spun over, take off the dizzy cap, make sure its pointing towards #1, if thats correct look under the cap, did you pull off any of the connection wiring while you were yanking at it? only fuses are the ones under your hood & the one under the steering column...

but to be honest, the same thing happened to my friends car just the other day, cause he replaced the distributor o ring, because he had a similar leak i had and i told him to replace it... i guess he spun the dizzy just a little when he was removing/installing and his car had the exact symptoms as yours...

but if you want it tested, call autozone... i think they have a tester to tell you if its working properly...

if the firin order was messed, there would still be spark,. the car would just backfire or something, but you still HAVE spark....i got no spark.....but ill try to test it

was the car running before? did you check if it was the timing belt?
if your not getting a spark its inside the ignition system somewhere, i say recheck the coil and ingition.

was this the reason you took the cap off in the first place?

Look at the rotor and see if there are scores in the contact point from contacting the little metal parts on the distributor cap.

The shaft holding the rotor on inside the distributor may be bent.

I have a spare distributor if you want to buy it.
