Subframe damage???????
I just bought another Eg the other day it is a 1992. It had been hit in the left side bumper was damaged and headlight damaged. It also hit the wheel of the car, the wheel was damaged enough to were a tire could not be mounted to it. When i had came to pick up the car i saw the axle was broke because of all the cv grease underneath the car. So once i get home i pull the axle and put in another one but once i get everything together i noticed that the universal joint boot is not sitting normal. So i check my bolts and the control arms for bends but everything looks ok. So i was thinking the damage my be to the front subframe?
Thanks matt

Yes, there is a possibility of subframe damage. I replaced mine when I hit a curb which pushed the drivers side wheel back into the wheel well. I just assumed that the subframe needed to be replaced.
Is there any noticible damage to the crossmember/subframe?

I have not really paid much attention to the appearence of the subframe unitl this. I guess i will have one of my friends come by and i will compare them. But the control arms look fine so that has to be what it is.
It's hard to say but a comparasion of your friends should help. If it is the subframe just pick up another one at a junk yard. I got mine from importautosalvage.com, if you can't find one local get it from there (great cust svc, quick shipping, etc). Good luck.
