Loose axle nut?
So I was removing the knuckle assembly because I had to check something. I figured I tightened the axle nut properly. I went out for a drive today and it seemed as if that wheel wobbles a bit now. I went to check it and when I lift the car with a jack the wheel is perfectly still, but when I lower the car on the ground and pull and push on the wheel it wobbles, now I know I didn't have this issue before and can only think this would be because of the nut. Do you believe I'm right and if I am did I potentially screw up the wheel bearing?
Thanks

Re: Loose axle nut?
this doesnt make sense...when you have no weight on the tire (in the air, on the jack) the tire is rock solid and when you have weight on the tire (on the ground) there's play in the wheel.
logic doesnt seem that this is plausible--
lift the wheel off the ground...press at 12 and 6....then 3 and 9....anything?
also, make sure you crimped the axle nut...

Re: Loose axle nut?
I figured it out, it was the ball joint in the Upper Control arm that went bad, had an extra control arm laying around and swapped it, no more play in the wheel. still new at this car mechanic stuff.
