Default act 6 puck

I have an act six puck un-sprung clutch with heavy duty pressure plate, and it has broke one motor mount, and one plate that connects the mount to the tranny. Does anyone else have similar problems. I ordered polyurethane inserts hopefully this helps.

yea its do to how aggressive it is when it engages. I would replace the mounts and add the incerts. i wouldnt just put inserts in.... but with everyhting that is good in the world there is always a negative. thats just what we get for having some bomb *** clutch's.

It never happened to me when I had my 4 puck ACT unsprung. But I had Place Racing mounts, I take it you guys have single cams with stock mounts?

Yea, I have a d16y7 in my crx with stock mounts. My inserts got here today so I'm going to put them in and see how it works. Hopefully nothing else breaks. Hoping to go to the track this weekend and gets some times.

My wife breaks mounts left and right. I'm thinking about taking the clutch and fly wheel out. Right now she has a act six puck unsprung, act heavy duty pressure plate, and a clutch masters aluminum flywheel. I told her I was going to pull it and she got all pissed, talking about "I like my clutch, I don't want a pansy clutch in my car".

dang, sweet

Ok, is a lightened flywheel something to worry about breaking in the b series motors? and like comin thru the floor and killin you? or is that just a domestic thing?

sorry to threadjack, but 6 puck unsprung...dang, how much worse drivability is that from a organic disc

*sniff* I miss my 6puck clutch. Right now I have a POS OEM clutch that keeps slipping. At least my 6 puck didn't slip, dammit!!!

Would a 6 puck be ok in a OEM pressure plate or even a Exedy OEM pressure plate? Anyone know?

I'm guessing no because it grabs so hard and it might make it slip with a stock pressure plate. Just my ideas though not for sure.
