EG suspension setup advise
I have searched exhaustively while trying to put together my suspension setup on my 92 DX hatch. I still have a few issues to resolve, so I am going to ask here. My goal is to insure that all the components I am planning for my car are compatible and complement each other well. Any and all feedback is appreciated.
The Car:
1992 Civic DX Hatchback
The Duties:
-95% street driving (a fairly comfortable ride is a must as the wife and an infant will be the primary passengers. I don't expect stock, but bone jarring is out of the question)
-4% drag racing, mostly just an occasional weekend with friends
-1% autocross, when I feel like driving the few hours to the event.
The Proposed Setup:
The items in bold are the areas where advice is really needed
-Omni-PowerUSA full coilover suspension.
560FF/336RR (I feel the 672FF/448RR available on the ITR Sport version will be way too stiff for my application, yes?)
-Omni-PowerUSA front upper adjustable camber kits
-EX front LCA's with stock EX/Si front swaybay
-Megan or SSR rear LCA's
-GSR or ITR rear sway bar
If brake info is needed, it will be stock brembo blanks up front with Cobalt Friction pads, and stock rear drums. I haven't considered any sort of tie-bars yet either, but I am uncertain as to if I will even need/want any.
Thanks to all who can help.
Josh

I would spend the money on Neuspeed/Koni Yellows, Ground Control upper hats, and custom rated GCs to whatever you want, in your case 550/400 or so should work great. Forget the camber kit unless you plan on dropping the car into wheel tucking status, which is retarded. Front swaybar is cool. I'd get stock GSR LCAs, I hate those bling bling colored ones. Get a stock GSR rear swaybar, Neuspeed 19mm, or a Comptech 22mm, don't bother with "rigged" ITR set-ups.

Well sounds like you need some KYB AGX's and Eibach Pro kit and "maybe" an upgraded rear bar and that's it. You want a comfortable ride 95% of the time. You will do some "rare" drag racing so a lower stance and upgraded valving and adjustability is nice to have, while upgraded bars are not. It sounds like you will rarely if EVER auto-x or do any kind of track event and if you do the KYB/Eibach set-up with good tires and "maybe" an upgraded bar will be MORE then enough.
Spend your money on other things on the car. Or maybe buy something nice for your wife or child.

Stock dx's don't come with a front sway bar, if you swap out the ex/si LCA's, you can bolt in a stock ex/si swaybar

Not sure why you'll need coilovers for 95% street use??

Two words , height adjustability. I have lowered several vehicle before and I am usually unhappy with where the drop ends up. I realize this is a completely cosmetic decision, but going with coilovers is about the only suspension decision I am set on.

Believe me, I have considered the GC/Koni setup and I understand that is is a very proven way to go, but for me, the matched shock/spring combo with the Omnipowers, plus the better value (IMO) leans me toward those units. Aside from the "bling bling" factor you are not a fan of, any reason A/M LCA's are no good? While I understand doing something only for the cosmetic reasons can be retarded, I like the way they look, and unless the GSR LCA's are somehow superior, A/M it is.
I appreciate the input so far, any other opinions out there?

I see your point on height adjustability. I personllay like the way my prokits and konis sit. The konis have slightly adjustable perches so I was able to get a little better ride height of of them. They ride smooth and I've taken the car to the track twice. Though at the track the car would have deff. handled better with higher rate linear springs and anti-sway bars, the two days that it's on the track doesn't compare with the 365 days that it's on the streets. I may upgrade to a GC coilover at a later time, but not until I've already gone with an anti-sway combo.
as for you point of the Omnipower springs/shocks being "matched" what does that really mean? Who make the springs for them and who makes the shocks? I know that GC's come with Eibachs (very reputable company) and Koni's are also a very reputable company. It's probably not much of an issue if you're just doing daily street driving, but are the Omnipowers rebuildable?
To me, it seems better to have an unmatched setup from two long time, well known suspension companies, than a "matched set from a newcomer. But to each his own.
