Default jdm b16 same as usdm b16a2

currently my block of my jdm b16's rod bearings got messed up. and a pal of mine has a usdm b16a2 block that he will sell me for cheap 1 or 2 bills. will it be costly to get the jdm b16 head on the usdm b16 block? and would i see some power loss?

I won't go into labour costs, but aside from the higher compression pistons from your JDM B16, the rest of the engine is identical and uses the same parts including bearings.

time for a re-vamping on ur engine while ur at it. i would suggest while the engine is out and torn apart, go ahead and upgrade to ctr pistons, cams, etc. that way u will save urself some time and effort in the long run if you are going all motor.

essentially the blocks are exactly the same, except for the compression ratios (like stated above). search the classifieds for a jdm block, you might be able to find one. or go ahead and upgrade to an LS/VTEC if youre serious. the blocks are cheaper and with the **** u need, might end up costing you the same in the long run.
