Default intake manifold questions

(91 civic)my friend just swaped an si manifold onto his car. and the car wont start.the mani is missing the fast idle valve, could this be the cause of it? and he had take the old tps censor from the other many(could that cause it not to start). also are the hf and the si injector resistor any different ? does he need an si resitor box to push the si injectors.any help is appreciated thanx

If his car is an hf it was probably dpfi, there are plenty of threads on how to convert from dpfi to mpfi, you should try doing a search.

So you did the mpfi conversion on it and it ran fine with mpfi before you put this new motor in right?? Just want to make sure I understand you correctly..

ya this is all really confusing to me too. lets do a step-by-step.

1. Stock Civic STD
2. ... ? what motor/fuel system

When you went from dpfi to mpfi what ecu and manifold did you use and were you using the d15b8 at that time..

Im trying to narrow this down.. If nothing in your setup changed except you went from a ????? manifold to the si manifold then narrows it down alot..
