Did anyone catch the Speed World Challenge in HDTV?
I realize the market penetration of HDTV is still pretty low, but did anyone else get a chance to see this? The coverage was live on HDNet, and you could tell they weren't used to covering motorsports. There was a lot of dead camera time, expecially before the roll off.
Anyway, once the cars got rolling it was fantastic. You've never seen the RTR cars look so orange! HDTV and motorsports were made for eachother, with all the vivid colors and fast action. Hopefully we'll see more HD coverage of auto racing soon. (Heck, I might even watch a NASCAR race if it were in HD
)

LOL yea .. HD owns. I will watch the grass grow in HiDef. WC and the Pro Mazda race was on HDNet because they were covering the A$$CAR stuff going on the same weekend. They have some A$$CAR and Cart live on HDNet this year. Otherwise, don't hold your breath for any of the racing we want to see in HD anytime soon.

Bummer. You are right, Speed will have the live coverage this year. I was hoping the live coverage would be from one of the networks like in the past.
