4pt Harness on Oem Crx Si Seats??
Anyone have pics? I just bought a set of 4point harness's. My rear is almost gutted except for my sub box and amp rack, but where would the harness mount to?
Kind of makes it fun to wear a seatbelt
POST PICS PLEASE

Had a strut bar, had to remove it because my box is huge (9 cubes) and went well into the strut bar place so I had to scrap it. Is there any place it can go really close to behind the seat, because my system takes up the hatch

No way would you ever want to do that. The only SAFE and PROPER way to use a harness is to have it mounted to the harness bar of a roll bar/cage. I'm not going to debate this it has been debated too many times.

Besides, I think that harness aren't safe to use with stock seats, or is it the other way? (Racing seats and stock seat belts)?

WRONG. Never EVER attach harnesses to a strut tower brace.
In fact, never ever use harnesses without a roll bar/cage either, unless they are for autocross purposes ONLY. And never mount harnesses directly to the floor behind the seats either, unless you enjoy spinal compression.
Bottom line, unless you have a roll bar or you autocross, get rid of the harnesses. Stock 3-point belts are safer for the street and safer in the absence of rollover protection. 4-points are not particularly desireable, anyway.

sorry for my previous post about the strut bar..... i was pretty sure he didn't have a rollbar or rollcage to begin with so i automatically thought of putting it on a strut bar..... but yea of course having a rollbar is best.....
lol not a problem man, I didnt think it was bad as everyone is saying either, seems like a feasable place, but apparently not
Any ideas? I will be autocrossing this car next summer when I finish the h22 swap this winter during its down time, already orderred the motor

Harness without rollover protection is OK for autocross in most instances, because of the low risk of rollover and reduced need for bodily movement - but a harness is potentially dangerous under just about any other circumstances (i.e. street driving or circuit track use), and particularly without rollover protection and when improperly installed (i.e. angled more than 45* away from the perpendicular to your shoulders, or with excessive length in the shoulder straps that could stretch).
There have been several posts about this before that would probably turn up in a search, if you'd like more information on the subject of harnesses.
Most people mistakenly assume that a harness is better than an OEM seat belt in all cases, but this is just not true - you can actually be taking a greater risk by wearing a harness than you would be with just the stock 3-point belts. Racing safety equipment is designed to work together as a system; leaving ingredients out of the mix is a recipe for disaster.

Now the doubts I had have been cleared
I was almost sure that stock seat belts were dangerous for using with racing seats, but wasn't too sure about harness + stock seats.

Harness + stock seats really isn't too bad; it's not really the seats that are hazardous so much as the harnesses themselves. Most driver-school/HPDE instructors wouldn't mind riding in a car with harnesses and stock seats, provided that the harnesses are installed properly and there is sufficient rollover protection. Keep in mind however that many circuit racing series actually require the use of a special brace if you are not using a fixed-back seat.
Stock seat belt + fixed-back racing seat is definitely a bad idea. You can get away with it with most reclineable racing seats, though - as long as the lap belt rests snugly against your hips, where it should be.

So there really is no good place to put a harness in a stock interior si?
Does it have to go straight back? or is there a way that I can bolt it into the bottom hole where the oem seatbelts go on the ground, which is about 8 inches off to the side and directly down.

Not really.

No, it doesn't have to go straight back, but it cannot be angled more than 45 degrees downward either, or else you would risk spinal compression. Ideally, you want it to be angled at 10 degrees or less.
For autocross-only though, you'd probably be fine with the harness mounted the way you described. Just don't use it on the street.

Ok thats sounds sweet, I didnt know how they connected really so I didnt know if there was a hole or not to stick the massive bolt through into the whole, Im guessing its maybe 10-15 degrees off to the side, thanks for your help
WIll be done properly in the next crx that Im buying soon thats gonna have a full roll cage
