i was just out in an empty parking lot dodging light poles and stuff(rookie season so i need all the practice i can get!).. well anyway when taking tight corners the car was pushing through... i got it so i could get threw the first part of the corner and give more throttle towards the end.. but im trying to figure out why it would be pushing so much?? i know this is a noob question. thanxx for your help!~

Wrong line, high entry speed? There are many factors that can be attributed to what you're going THROUGH.

Uhm... get out to some autocross events before you put your car threw a light pole.

If you turn in going to fast the car will push. Operator error.

Try playing with tire pressures too.

However, the biggest change comes from your technique. Try entering the corner differently by varying your line, braking, and driving style. Have you had an instructor ride along? They can offer you more tips.

"pushing" through tight corners? solution is to take it slow. seriously.

now stop making a jackass of yourself in a parking lot. its not going to help you.

Generally speaking, push is due to trying to turn while going to fast. Braking hard prior to the turn and then slowly squuueeeezing the gas as you straighten the wheel should be the first step in minimizing push.

I usually recomend learning how to drive your car as is and then adding parts as your skill level allows. A couple events is not much. Most good drivers have many years of experience. The learning curve on autocross is fairly steep. So take your time, have fun, and realize learning will take a long time.

A front sway bar probably would not help. Tires, rear sway bar, and more legal event seat time would be the best options.

Adding a front anti-sway bar would probably increase the amount of push/understeer on your car. On a front-wheel drive car, Thicker rear anti-sway bars generally help to decrease push or create more oversteer

If you were just playing around in a parking lot, then you probably didn't have a real course set up to drive through. If not, I'm imagining that you may be driving in hard, then turning the wheel and aggressively getting out. If so, you may be generating your own decreasing radius corners which would inherently induce understeer especially if you were coming in pretty hot. Simply not having a course to take a line through may have meant that your corners were not realistic and causing the push.
