Clutch Replacement, pilot bearing also?
Go ahead and do it. It's a cheap part and you're going to be kicking yourself if it starts to give up in another 5k miles and you have to pull the tranny agian.
how cheap are you going? if you're just changing the clutch and not resurfacing the flywheel, then don't change it. but if you're forking out some cash to resurface the flywheel, check the pilot bearing to see if it spins freely... if it's seized, you'll know what to do. if it's not, decide if you want to spend some money to replace it.
Jesus dude, a GOOD clutch kit comes w/ a Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, T/O bearing, Piolet bearing, and alingment tool, also just hit the friction surface of the flywheel w/ a die grinder to get the crap off of it. Just make sure to buy a GOOD clutch kit and you won't have a problem
Here is a quote right from my ASE class
"Always make sure to replace all componets of a clutch that is wear and tear and clean and lube everything correctly or you will be going back in before its time and becomes a hassle"
In other words do it RIGHT the first time and never have a problem
