DC5R - Can they join Integra Type R meets?
Hey whats up everyone, this may be a dumb question but i have been contemplating the idea of getting a dc5R here in the states, nothing soon maybe next year. Any way i was wondering if i would be able to enter in the integra type-r track meets and events, this would definiately be a bonus. Let me know if anyone has any information. Thank you

Very true, although the build and construction has more in common w/ the USDM RSX than the DC2R. So his first question wasn't as cut and dry as one would think.
Good luck on the import DankgsR

how were you planning on importing one! I would love to do the same. What was the company website where they have them for sale? Along with jdm sti's and evos.
yep $29k gets ya one,..a blue one as a matter of fact----> they have 1 now.
evloutionimports.com
Not too high,..but you could build a Better RSX-S for the same price.
I'd go for the Areo Spec Silvia!Or even the Skyline.

ya i think it would be a sweet car out of the box, throw on some boltons and turn it into an s2k eater. I would much rather get and itr then a type-s but thats just me..

i'd rather have a s2k, sti, or evo over the DC5R. especially for that price!

yea i was gonna get one through them like last year before i bought my DC2R. Oneof those $16K......maybe it was just my luck but no bank would finance me without evolutionimports providing a title which they coudnt do until the car was paid for....oh well I love my R now!

Nope, we have to import them from Japan, but it seems easier to get them on the road here, ie, we dont have to do to much to get them road legal, as far as I know, all we have to do is, put a rear fog light on, change the speedo from KMH to MPH, pass a few emission tests and job done I think.......
You can pick a 02 for £16000 or so :-)

I'm just thinking about the difference in distance of shipping and if the car is the same price in england wouldnt it be cheaper to ship from england rather than japan. Im just thinking about shipping prices not the actual price of the car. But I think its worth looking into. IMO

No.
But they do have native EP3 CTR there. That's a better car, IMHO, as far as handling dynamics, and everything you can get on a DC5 ITR will fit on an EP3 CTR.
However, honestly, I think both cars are a waste of money compared to the DC2 ITR and the CL7 Type S.
A 240 HP K24 in a DC2 ITR chassis would be great!

Honestly, I do not think that would be the smartest investment, $/fun quotient.

Well, it's surely a smarter $/fun investment than importing a DC5 ITR! LOL...
What are you advocating? A Miata or something?
