i just put a carbon hood on my car a weeks back. well, this morning i am at a friends hous,and he told me that the hood is real nice except for the crack in it. well....somebody around here is real jealous, they kicked the front of my hood and the gell coat is now cracked..BAD. it is also cracked around my hoodpins. DOES ANYBODY HAVE THE PROCESS OF WHICH TO FIX THIS? PLEASE HELP ME....

 

show us some pics. the probelm with carbon fiber is that a scratch is irrepairable without damaging the look of the hood.

 

Ouch that sucks, post up some pics so we can see the damage.

 

if the fiber's not damaged, you might be able to get some resin to fill it after removing the damaged area of the gel coat.

ok guys....
i knda figured something was funny...my door was unlocked this morning. turns out...who ever ****ed up my hood ,was trying to get under the hood,but failed. i had re-routed the hood cable. inner-fender on drivers side was pulled out. looks like they were pulling up on the hood,the carbon gel-coat is also cracked around the hood pins. possible theft? thank god they did not succeed.

 

1 more god damn time...and i am selling this ******* car and going back to my mustangs. this hb gets more attention from the cops and young kids than most of my stangs did.

 

saw the pics, i cant really see anything tho maybe its just my monitor.

sorry to hear that. yah its def someone with jealousy or envy.
