YS1 cable tranny on a JDM b16a?

iv got a jdm b16a (1st gen). i heard that a cable ys1, from a 93 gsr would have a problem fitting. sumthing about the splines not matching up. if anyone has any info on this, please help. also, the sticker on the tranny that says YS1, looks like it could have been stuck on there by the seller. is there anyway that i can tell if it really is a ys1? thanx guys...

the engine dont matter, it goes by the clutch. just get the matching clutch disc and your good to go.
