Default what r some good cams

were getting ready to start building up my buddys 99 si. hes gonna do a nice set of cams and a fields vtec controller to start and eventualy build and stroke the b16 to a 1.9. what would be a good set of cams to start off with that will give good power upgrade but still work later on when he goes stroked. he were thinking crower stage 2, is this good on factory valve train? hes already got all the basic bolt ons. dc header, tanabe exhaust with 2.50" all the way back, high flow cat, 3" intake with k&n. hes going to be staying n/a.

crower 2's should do ok, but i doubt if he will be able to leave the factory valve train, he'll prob have to get diff springs and retainers depending on the lift of the 2's

has anyone used the skunk stage 2's , i can get a good price on them and heard they can run on the oem valvetrain as long as we dont go over the factorey rev limit.

You might want to go with a better header before you change cams. That DC is going to minimize gains from the cams. DC=bottleneck.
