I just got some skunk 2 coilovers from a friend and the car was fine when I first had them on. But after driving for a little while the rear right shock sounds like its smacking around inside and I can't figure out what it would be. All i can think of is the shop didn't install the rubber O-rings, or they came loose, or maybe its because they put that shock on upside down.

 

could be upper strut mount bushings, when they get old & worn out they get real sloppy- feels like a bad shock or like you have a flat tire when you hit hard bumps or anything...

my gf had the same prob on her hatch & thats what fixed it. ThinkI need rears in my coupe too...

make sure the 2 top bolts are tight.

 

or why dont you take it back to the shop and tell them they messed up.

 

Turns out that they forgot to put a washer on between the bolt on the top of the shock and the rubber bushing below it. That caused the bushing to eventually pop off. A 10 cent washer and 5min fixed it.
