tokico illumina setting Q. *searched also*
****UPDATE- PICTURES****
i just found alot of FS stuff and WTB stuff in the archived content.. but i was wondering:
people with illumina's, or maybe even koni's.. when you set lets say 2 in the front and 3 in the rear, what does that do to ur driving... like daily driving? cuz thats what ima be using it for most.. i want the ride to be similar to stock.. but what does 2f/3r do to driving?

I'm not positive on the ride yet because I don't have them installed, but my friend that just got GR-2's installed said that my Illuminas feel harder than his on the first setting..
2 fr, 3 rr makes my DA oversteer very slightly (I also have strut bars n crap tho). If you want it to feel stock, 2 all around feels nice.
For daily drive I have my illuminas on 2f and 3r. It feels good. If I set them lower I tend to get a bouncy ride and and higher is too stiff for normal driving. Experiment, every car is different depending on weight distrubution and spring rates.
I have mine set on stiff all around since I have mainly been on the hwy lately. Im using the skunk2 coils with it and am lowered only 1.5 inches all around. Otherwise I keep them on 4 in front and 5 in back. I tolerate the bumps and rarely have passengers in my car.
If I was lowered any more, then i would probably loosen them up for sure. I have not really noticed oversteer, but I really doubt it is gonna happen in an integra under normal circumstances...

so if i have a different setting IE. 2f3r would cause understear on my DA? sho stock.. would be 1f1r right? or is that still going to be stiffer than stock? and im going to be 2 inches dropped on Tein S.tech's.. if anyone knows the spring rates
In theory, stiffening up the rear more than the front will induce more oversteer. The higher the number, the stiffer on the illuminas.
So 2f, 3r, as you said, would induce oversteer more than 2f, 2r would. Cause the rear is stiffened up...

The opposite of course...more likely to understeer than 2f, 2r.
This is all in theory really since it will depend on the car, the road, the driver, etc, so really I wouldnt expect to feel a difference unless you in a controlled environment and testing this stuff.
FYI...The Tokico manual gives a disclaimer though because the changing of all of these settings can cause a change in reaction on the part of the car to different steering inputs, in other words it could potentially cause the car to respond in a way that is unfamiliar to the driver, esp since the integra is built to understeer for safety reasons.

ok, so 1f1r is basically stock right? and 2f2r is little bit stiffer than stock obviously.. so if i have it on a stiffer setting, will that mean my car will respond quicker.. lets say if someone droped somethign from the bed of there truck, and i was behind them, no one was in my side lane, and i turn the wheel to dodge it, would my car respond alot quicker?
and another Q bout body lean, i know my car being lowered will help prevent alot of leaning from happening, but on my friends DA, he had 17's too, and we were driving down the street, messign around, and he was lowered i think 2 inches. or 2.25 inches and turning the wheel quickly to switch between 3 lanes very quickly, and his car didnt even lean to the side once, and this was at 45mph.. was that all suspension (springs, shocks) or was that a strut bar and stuff?

k,heres a bump for the whole day... sorry mod's.. but im gettin this in today, and installing tomarrow, so im trying to find out as much as i can.
and another question to add to the others ^ there are...
on the G2's, people who's familer, and im sure its the same for G3's also, but on the rear, you have the little square part that can pop off to get acess to the adjustments for the suspension.. how do you guys change the settings? is it easy or hard? do you take off your speakers so you can see directly down to adjust? and how do you know whats 1-2-3-4-5? i read on another thread that you can go from 5-1.. so is there a indicator or a little arrow to tell you what setting you have it on?

Yes, and it turns with a mini screwdriver or small pocket knife blade.

ok, i just got them.. and they have a small thing that goes in the rod with a D shape on the bottom, and then you slip this number thing over it, you can spin it around, but you feel it lock in place on each number or setting. well tomarrow's the big day to get everything installed.
this is what i got:
tein s-tech springs
Tokico illumina shocks/struts
Progress camber kit
ill take some be4 and after pic's tomarrow morning. but i gota question.. do you think the mod's would get mad if i posted my pics here in the integra forums? and should i start a new forum for the pics so i can show progress? or should just post in here?

My tokicos are on neuspeed race springs and when I have it set at 5 I beat myself on the freeway, kills the kidneys and I feel like I ate some bad burritos. I set them to 2 front and 3 rear. To me it felt the best all around for comfort and sport.
BUMP...
