Default dumb question

yea more than likely a dumb question...would search but i dont even know what they are called....i bought my car without the shock things that hold the hatch open connected...they are there....but just laying in the back....do i need anything else other than them to set it up?...cause i really have no clue how to do it.

are you referring to the hatch struts? you'll need the mounting hardware i.e screws and washers.

Most likely the shocks are no good, they are known for going out. I would get some new ones.

yea, they are only like 15 bux at pep boys with all the mounting hardware.
