Default My car is not long for this world :(

I put it up in the air today to do my monthly inspection of it just to check things out for leaks, tire wear, stuff like that. Well, I noticed there is now even more rust on the rear 1/4 panels and I have a hole in my rocker panel along with 2 in each fender plus the inside of the fender is all rotted and nasty. Tie rod boots and the ball joints seem shot or getting there. Basically its going to need some things and I don't feel like replacing them. Its getting so old its just not worth it. I love it dearly but I have decided I'm done doing anything to it. Now I need a daily driver so I figure either a newer Civic such as an EK or even an EP3 since no one wants those and they are cheap. Or I could get a Scion xB which is a good daily driver and that would be new so I could get it just how I want. But I sort of want a Honda because they have more potential to fix it up.

I will get my other car first and than probably part out my EF since I'm not sure if I want to see it all as one thing since its worth more in parts than all together.

Hahaha - Scion xA looks like total ***.

The xB looks like a toaster on wheels!
Open and close the hood and I bet toast pops out the roof!

Sorry. It's a big box that Filipinos use to send packages back home. My mom has sent many back to my cousins in the P.I.

Yes my Si is starting to rust away as well, But I figured I would just run it into the ground, before I would part it out. I'll drive it until it cracks in half. LOL
I was just thinking about it today, as a matter a fact.
What would be my next DD? Then I saw a beautiful Electron Blue?? 2003? Prelude.
(don't know Prelude colors or years yet, gotta do some research.)
And I'm thinking that will be my next daily driver. Another couple of years and they'll be at the bottom of the depreciation scale.

dont think they made preludes in 2003? But then again im probably wrong. Dude just get new quarters and weld them in. Then get some bondo and stuff and fix where you mistakes are....dont get rid of it. It would be cheaper to fix tie rods and quarters than to make payment on new car.

I'm leaning towards EK Civic right now for the modability and price.

I'm probably going to sell my Sparco 4pt harnessses to soon, anyone who wants them I'll take $60 for them each as they are now $95 new and mine are in mint condition, I mean how used does seat belts really get. If you want both maybe we can work out a deal.

Also my strut bars and stuff and most anything I don't need to make the car run or be legal will be up for sale so make me offers if you want stuff guys.

My website has my entire mods list, everything on there is potentially for sale.

As for it just being rust its not worth new quarter panels which would be an extra $2000 to have welded on plus I would need a new paint job. Not worth it.

Yes, I agree. Not worth that much for rehabilation.
But not worth parting out quite yet either.

Dude if you're going to get a Scion, get the TC when it comes out. Now that's a bad *** looking scion. I'm possibly going to trade in my 03 Tacoma for one. If I do I'll have that and my 89 Crx Si to play with.

Well some stuff will fit on the EK so its not like a total waste. Plus so much of what I did to the EF I will never want to do to any other car I get, I live and learned and I know what I like now so I can do it right with the EK.

I have decided against a Scion just because they are more than I want to spend, I would like 10K or less. Plus the claims of how they can be fitted with aftermarket parts is a joke compared to any Civic still.

I don't think I can own a car and not mod it, I don't have the will power. So I want to do it right and get an EK and make that nice.

Here are some parts I will sell right now to anyone who wants them...

-Sparco Harnesses for $60 each, or perhaps $100 if you want both, + shipping.
-Neuspeed Front strut bar for $60 + shipping
-Autopower 4pt roll bar for $150, will not ship, pick up only, bar is in great shape though and easy to put in
-Suspension Techniques 22mm rear sway bar for probably $70 + shipping.
-Neuspeed lower rear tie bar for $50 + shipping
-Cusco front tie bar for $50 + shipping

Thats it for now I guess.

I would look for a car down south to get sometin rust free, thats what i did. I would buy a new car as a daily driver, and pick up another EF as a project.
