Ignition problem - please help!
My Civic LX 98 has a mind of its own! It will start usually on one click, but after a few minutes of idling or driving, all power is gone (just like the ignition switch was shut off). When this happens, it takes maybe 5 -10 tries before the engine will start up again. Sometimes while driving, the engine suddenly dies, and after 3-5 secs the engine will suddenly come back to life.
The Check Engine indicator is always on now.
Someone told me it maybe the alignment in the distributor assembly(?) This guy told me he has heard this as a common problem in the Civic and only solution is to replace the distributor assembly.
Anyone heard of this type of problem before?
