Default Coolant under driverside floormat!!!

i have a 95 civic w/b16 swapped in about a week ago. There is a HUGE puddle of coolant under the driverside floormat. Also coolant is leaking from under the engine bay, by where the heater hose from the thermostat goes into the firewall (to the heater core i think). There is no coolant anywhere else in the car other than the under the driverside floormat. I just replaced the thermoswitch today but there is not coolant leaking from there.

most likely coming from the heater core.

its the heater core for sure, just get the 2 hoses that go into the heater core and connect them together using a barbed hose coupler and you will be fine until you have time to replace the core.

So what causes heater cores to break? Is it possible that something was done during the swap. The car has overheated 3 times since the swap and the coolant was disappearing...i guess i now know where it was going.

check the two hoses going into the heater core from the engine bay. sometimes during a swap those don't get reclamp as good. i had the same problem except i was leaking coolant onto the ground instead of the floorboards.

yup heater core... take out dash, take off the two hoses in the engine bay, unnblot heater box, and then slip out the heater core and insert new one
