d4 light on all the time even when in other gears

what would cause that?

The TCU is detecting a problem. What code does it have stored?

how do you check them? When jumping the ecu I get a solid check engine light but the abs light flickers 21???????

My D4 light on my 92 stays on and the car shifts funny until I step through the gears a few times and then it starts blinking and the car shifts fine.I got a new tranny put in about three years ago and it's done that since.I havn't been able to get any codes or figure out the cause yet.Does yours blink or just stay on?
