Allignment causing pulsating brake feeling?
Could a bad alignment cause my brakes to feel warped? They feel fine while breaking until i get down to about 30 MPH then they start to pulsate. Then below 15 MPH they stop pulsating again.
the rotors are less than 6 months old. Can you get slotted rotors re-surfaced?
Because the rotors are so new, I'm wondering if there's something else that can
contribute to the problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have had bad luck with having warped rotors resurfaced. For me, they seem to warp again in short order, so I typically just put on new ones. Modern brake rotors seem about as light as they can be to save on fuel and unsprung weight. It takes much less to warp thinner used rotors than new ones.
slot/drilled rotor can be resurface, there's alot of myth when they first came out for the auto world(it was used in bike LOOOOOOOOOONG before car). IT CAN BE RESURFACED, BEEN THERE DONE THAT
oh ok thanks but do you think I need to get them resurfaced? They are only 6 months old. I'm still not sure that they are in fact warped. Anything else that could cause a pulsating brake pedal? Also, how much does it cost to have rotors resurfaced (turned).

oh ok, they probably do need a resurfacing b/c I think i unevenly torqued the lugs. Thanks for the suggestions. Any idea how much it costs to get that done?
are you lugs all tightened down enough? check everything before you go resurfacing rotors. check everything and try everything before you have to spend the $$ on it.
yes,
i asked the torque specs for the lugs nuts and I was told 80 ft/lbs so I torqued them all to 80. I just recently bought a torque wrench so I think I may have unevenly torqued them when I installed the rotors. It's weird because they only feel warped when im braking around 45MPH and 35MPH.

definately agree with the warped rotors, some after market rotors warp real easy, and yes they can be resurfaced, just depends on the shop
ok thanks a lot for your advice. I don't think I'll get them turned any time soon b/c they are such a pain in the *** to remove/install, although I did just get air tools which are awesome.
some shops resurface them on the car. or you can take them off yourself and take them to the shop its about 40 bucks.
they are definilty warped. thats what is causing the pulsation. were new pads used when installing the rotors? who installed them? what brand are the rotors? are there aftermarket rims on your car? do you drive your car hard?
these are all factors as to why your rotors prematurely warped.

Thanks a lot. I installed the rotors. They are stock steal rims. I drive it hard occasionally. The rotors a supposedly Brembo but I think they aren't. The pad were new when I installed the rotors. So I think they are probably warped. I'll look into having the resurfaced on the car. Thanks to everyone for your advice/suggestions.
