Im so confused.
Alright, heres my story. I have a 2nd gen. integra and I want more pep. Well, I was set on doing the whole LS-turbo thing, then I realized that I have to keep this car for the next 4-6 years through college. So my main concern is reliability. There is absolutely no way that my car can have down-time b/c I will be commuting to college. I was thinking of a mild all-motor LS build. Crower 404's, Crower valve springs & retainers, and ealge rods with b16 pistons, and oh ya...Hondata. To top it off I have a friend with a YS1 tranny laying around. Preety descent setup IMO, but I dont know if that will be fast enough. I want to do somthing that would put my car in mid 13's or better but keep it reliable. I just have this whole reliability issue stuck in my head. Otherwise, I would boost the **** out of it. But if you guys can convince me other-wise that a turbo car could last me throughout 4 years, no problem, then I will do that.
i have been where you are, and this is my very very honest opinion...dont do anything to it, save your money, graduate college and start making money, then you can do whatever you want, make it faster than a 13 sec car, and have another one to drive when that one or whatever one youre working on is out of commission for a while, but if youre stubborn like i was and still am, then heres my next best suggestion...keep it na, you could do a nice ls/vtec setup for relatively cheap, and do some of the other na stuff you were talking about and have a very respectable daily driver that should be reliable for the most part
