DIY on Main Relay Check?
when my starter went bad, I found out how you check to see if your main relay was working.
Since there was no power going to the starter, when I turned the ignition key from "on" to "Start" all i could here was the fuel pump going. So when I let the ignition key go back to the "on" position, I would hear a click from the area where the fuses are underneath the steering wheel. That click was from the main relay, it is somewhere near/behind the hood release latch.
If there is no click, then your main relay is faulty.
So I suggest unplugging the power wire to you starter, and then try this method.
